Alaska Mega Machines is a Science Channel documentary series that explores the enormous, highly specialized machinery that keeps America’s most rugged and remote state running. Set against Alaska’s brutal winters, mountainous terrain, frozen waterways, and isolated communities, the series follows the engineers, operators, and crews who rely on everything from massive helicopters and ice-breaking tugboats to industrial equipment, heavy construction machinery, and vehicles engineered for the Arctic. Each episode combines larger-than-life machines with the science and engineering behind them, showing how people adapt technology to survive and work in some of the harshest conditions on Earth. Alaska Mega Machines premiered on Science Channel in 2016.
